MAOTD

Today's acronym is:
IED, or Improved Explosive Device. While not a strictly military acronym, IEDs are currently a major concern for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. They can be made of just about anything, including artillery shells, coke cans, concrete blocks, etc. There are even IEDs planted behind posters of Saddam designed to explode when you rip them off the wall.

For some good info and photos of some IEDs found in Iraq, visit Castle Argghhh! and view the presentation.
